Redken Three-Phase treatment, €55
David Marshall salon, Fade Street, Dublin
My hair is in absolute rag order. I’ve been dyeing it blonde since I was 16, I’ve never gone a week without using my ghd, I have recently had hair extensions and while I took care of them I’d be lying if I said there was no damage. Actually it’s a wonder I have any hair left at all. I do my best with at home hair treatments, leave-in conditioners and heat protection spray, but sometimes you just need more. So I went to David Marshall’s salon to get their new three-phase chemical system. My hair was first washed, and then part one, a deep conditioner, was applied to my hair and massaged in to my scalp and through the lengths of my hair. After five or six minutes of sitting with that in, phase two – a spray – was applied over the conditioner to kick it up a notch. Then after another five minutes that was rinsed out and the third part – a protein that helps repair and rebuild broken hair – was applied and worked in, and left for a final five minutes. Overall the treatment took only about 20 minutes, but when my hair was being blow dried I could already see the benefits. My hair looked sleek, not frizzy at all, it was shinier than I’d seen it in a long time and it felt super soft. I washed it again the next night to see would the results stick around and they did. My hair was still healthier looking than I’d seen it in ages. To keep the results going, I’m gonna stick to at home conditioners and masks for a while and then head back in a few months for another go!
