If you think of elderly ladies who smell like talc when you hear of Fabergé then prepare to have your mind blown at the brand's newest collection of jewellery.
Available exclusively at Weir & Sons Grafton St from May, the collection includes necklaces and bracelets. We're the first to admit this stuff doesn't come cheap, but if you're looking to treat yourself with something that will hold its value this is it. Think of it as an investment you can wear. And wear well!
If you've no clue what Fabergé is then listen up!
One of the world’s most revered names in jewellery since its inception in 1842 in Imperial Russia, Fabergé created exquisite and opulent jewels and objects. Including the legendary lavish and ingenious Easter eggs, commissioned by the Russian Imperial family from 1885 to 1916 when the company was run by Peter Carl Fabergé.
While it was the magnificent jewelled enamel Easter eggs that made the House of Fabergé so famous, they represent only one aspect of its artistic creation. The Fabergé of today creates decadent jewellery pieces that are true artworks, each destined to become heirlooms for future generations.
