Golden Globes: Best Dressed

It came. It went. And it showcased some show-stopping style!

So, the Golden Globes. Let’s talk business! The movies were excellent, the directors acclaimed and the actors thrilled (except poor Leo of course). But let’s be honest, who goes to the Golden Globes to find out which small-time director won an award for his short-film about feet? No one, that’s who.

In the real world, and here in UFashion.ie, the most exciting thing about this annual ceremony is the style. Besides the Met Ball in New York, the Golden Globes is one of the biggest fashion events of the year and has produced some iconic dresses and suits.

Who can remember that red dress with the low square-neck that definitely made Scarlett Johansson worthy of Esquire’s insistence that she is the sexiest woman in the world?

Or Angelina Jolie’s stunning green floor-length, long-sleeved sequin gown that she wore to the 2011 Golden Globes? The Atelier Versace dress is now an iconic image (and one that we can’t help but think of when we picture Ange)

Of course, this year was no exception in the style stakes and the celebrities donned the very best of the best to showcase their style this year.

A few lovely ladies in particular  come to mind when we think of our favourites including Rosamund Pike, Allison Williams and Lupita Nyong’o.
