UFashion.ie is taking a look into XFactor’s most stylish contestants

As XFactor gets in to the full swing of things in its tenth anniversary show, UFashion.ie are taking a look into some of our favourite (and most stylish contestants) over the last ten years. Yes, we know it’s supposed to be about their incredible and sometimes not-so-incredible singing talent but let’s be honest here, the main reason we watch XFactor is for the fashion. Who can even remember what any of them sang throughout the series anyway? Apart from Jedward, who’s annoying voices will forever ring in our ears.

We haven’t been a fan of all the styles that have come and gone on the XFactor though. Lest not forget the hairy-chested, earring-wearing and dodgy moustache of 2010 contestant Wagner. His getups made us uneasy to say the least.

Cheryl Cole wannabe, Cher Lloyd was never a big contender in the XFactor style stakes either. Her gangster-sporty-beehived look just never quite pulled itself together and no doubt she had influence over her stylists when it came to the live shows, because unfortunately it didn’t improve throughout the series. And does anybody remember those jeans she wore to her first audition? Bleached white and shredded (nope, not just ripped-shredded!). Enough said.

But there were definitely a few XFactor contestants’ whose clothes we lusted after here in UFashion.ie. And if the show was renamed The Style Factor, these ladies would all be finalists. Over the next month, UFashion.ie will be looking into the most fashionable contenders that have graced our screens with their talented singing abilities.

First up is Dianna Vickers. Slightly odd choice, we know. But if you can forget about the fact that she refused to wear shoes on stage, you’ll notice that this lady had some serious style credentials! She may have taken a couple of weeks to find her (bare) feet on the small screen in terms of style, but with a little help from her stylists, Dianna soon become known for her quirky and slightly grungy style rather than her singing ability.

You know what they say; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Unless it comes to imitating her lack of footwear which we definitely don’t recommend!
