Make like Queen B and start rocking that monochrome look

We love having a gawk at what the latest trends are on and off the runway. Not only are we getting inspiration from all our favorite celebrities and beloved fashion bloggers, but also from the serious street style that we’ve been checking out. And one trend that we haven’t missed is the monochrome look.

The monochrome look is big this season and we don’t know about you but we are loving it! Black and white might possibly be the easiest colours to style and lets you be as creative as you want in your shoes and accessories.

A lot of the time we associate white with weddings and hospitals and black is thrown in with funeral attire. But scrap those stereotypes ladies because this season monochrome is the order of the day. If you feel a bit conscious about sporting the look, throw in some of your favourite winter colours (burgundy, evergreen, charcoal grey) to compliment the look.

If you’re going to work a checkered black and white dress like the Maisie one, keep the rest of your outfit simple: pair this dress with black boots, a big chunky scarf and an autumnal colour for ultimate style creds.

Working ladies? Remember that the monochrome look can look quite corporate sometimes so is perfect for your average day at the office. Black and white looks sharp and clean together so pairing a black pencil skirt with a white shirt looks great (but throw in a bit of added bling or a primary-colour shoe to add some oomph to the look!)
