There was devastation when Clerys shut their doors suddenly earlier this year. A main city landmark for over 100 years, many a love story started after meeting under Clerys clock. We had a particular fondness for their tea rooms upstairs, which hadn’t changed much over the years. And no Christmas was complete without a visit to the best Santa in town, but rumour has it he’s taking up residence in the ‘I Believe’ Christmas Village this year. Are we too old? Nah!
