Recognise this?
Yeah, thought you might. However, if somehow you are in the minority of people who isn’t familiar with that famous Poldark still and the name Aidan Turner doesn’t ring any bells, don’t worry we’ve got you covered. Follow our guide on the man himself to find out who he is and what he’s been in…
Born and bred in Dublin, Turner decided against the traditional college route and instead enrolled in The Gaiety School of Acting. From there he started out working in theatre until he made the transition to television in 2007. Since then he has appeared in numerous roles, including a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ scene in The Tudors and as part-time receptionist, part-time DJ Ruairi McGowan in The Clinic. A couple of short films followed before making his Irish movie debut as Mal in the 2008 thriller, Alarm. Having won the Impact Award at the 2016 National Television Awards, Aidan Turner has certainly been making an impact on our screens in recent times. With no less than three films in the post-production (that’s three more chances for a look at those curls!!) expect to see much more of Mr. Turner in 2016.
But, if you can’t imagine waiting that long (and to be honest, you’re not alone) here is a list of Aidan’s best bits so far. You’re welcome.
