Thomas Dillon’s Claddagh Ring Museum, Galway
Ever since John Rocha redesigned the iconic claddagh ring we’ve become very taken with it, possibly for the first time since we got one as a Communion present (or maybe that’s just Aisling). One of the smallest museum’s in the country, Thomas Dillon’s Claddagh Ring Museum tells the history of the ring, while displays show some of the very first versions as well as the world’s smallest claddagh ring – on the top of a tailor’s pin. Old photos of Galway adorn the walls, which in themselves make the museum worth a visit.
