From flower-powered skincare to designer face crayons, there's loads of newness hitting the shelves. Here’s our pick of the latest beauty launches.
This teeny-tiny liner is ideal for doing your waterline or getting really up close to lashes. It has an ultra-fine 1.5mm tip but packs a real high pigment punch. Also, it doesn’t need sharpening, which is brilliant – but make sure you only twist up as much as you’ll need at a time because the liner doesn’t retract!
We love a glossy lip for summer – but are always dubious about longwear or strong pigment game claims. That’s okay though, half the fun is reapplying that shiny colour. All the better if it’s cheap as chips though, which is where Sleek’s new Lip Shots come in. Lightweight, non-sticky glosses with a bright pop of colour, all for under €6.50! There’s lots of shades too.
The U team is never too far from some sort of lip balm so this new Kiehl’s launch is right up our street. An overnight treat for parched lips, it contains nourishing coconut oil and repairing wild mango butter to restore your pout to full strength while you sleep. It’ll be available from Kiehl's stores, Arnotts, and Debenhams Patrick Street, Cork, or Debenhams.ie from Monday.
The autumn launches are really getting going now we’re into August and few so far have been as much fun as this kit from YSL. It’s a set of four small chalks for eyes, lips and cheeks! You can apply them directly and blend with your finger or a brush – highlight with Le Nude or Le Cuivre, use Le Rouge on cheeks and lips and define eyes (or darken a lip) with Le Noir.
If your skin is in need of a bit of a radiance boost, check out Elemis’ new flower power Peptide 24/7 range. There’s an Eye Recovery Cream, Night Recovery Cream-Oil and this Peptide4 Thousand Flower Facial Mask. It is packed with mineral-infused Nordic peat, exfoliating lactic acid and omega fatty acid -rich Star Arvensis and night scented stock.
