Following the huge success of their launches in London, Paris, Rome and Lisbon, the team at experiential travel start-up trip4real is excited to announce that Dublin is one of the latest cities to welcome the new disruptive travel trend. After bringing travellers unique experiences such as the chance to share a paella with a gangster in Barcelona and the opportunity to dine at a supper club on the London Underground, trip4real has some equally fun and memorable experiences in store for Dublin and further afield in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Trip4real enables locals to become tour-guides, and travellers to have authentic, local experiences alongside them. With over 30,000 users around the world, and more than 4,000 experiences offered in seven countries, trip4real has a mission to change the way we travel and is expanding rapidly.
Here’s just a few of our favourite trips that are in place for Ireland and Northern Ireland !
Game of Thrones Tour With A Super Fan, 70€ per person / Max 10 people / 2.5 Hours
Dublin local William wants to show visitors where some of the amazingly popular Game of Thrones TV show is filmed! Making good use of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s incredibly dramatic scenery and rustic charm, the studio shot much of the show on location, in areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Magheramore, where Castle Black, Hardhome and the Wall were all filmed.
Having moved to Dublin 16 years ago from his native South Africa, William fell in love with the Emerald Isle because of its landscape – and its pubs! He is also a huge Game of Thrones fan, and can discuss every character and twist and turn in the plot in great detail with fellow enthusiasts. The trip starts and ends in Dublin.
Terry’s Full Moon Walk in Glendalough, 25€ per person / Max 10 people / 2.5 Hours
This Full Moon Walk is an excellent opportunity to see the beautiful local landscape by the light of the moon. Participants will visit some of the most scenic parts of Wicklow and Dublin, including places such as Glendalough, Luggala, Djouce and many more. If you have never had the opportunity to do some night walking then this is an altogether different experience!
The tour takes you through St Kevins Way along by the Glendassan river and onto the side of Camaderry, before following a forest track down towards the upper lake, resplendent in the moonlight. Walkers will also stop for stargazing and might also spot a night time rainbow.
Giants Causeway From Dublin, 60€ per person / Max 10 people / 14 Hours
William loves discovering new places and meeting people from around the world. He will take you on an incredible personalised trip starting in Dublin, along the north coastal road, through Belfast all the way to the Giant’s Causeway. Pointing out his favourite beautiful beaches and rugged rural landscapes, including the wondrous Glens of Antrim (designated an Area of Outstanding Beauty) and Rathlin Island, William ensures his guests benefit from his excellent local knowledge.
