Fur in spring, highly unorthodox you say? We think not!
Two of our favourite Made in Chelsea stars Stephanie Pratt and Lucy Watson were seen strutting their stuff on the red carpet for the first screening of Will Smith’s new movie Focus. And what did they both have in common (besides insanely rich parents and privileged, enviable lives of course)? Both Pratt and Watson were donning beautifully massive fur coats at the event and looked fabulous.
Yes, spring is the time for change. The time when you finally get to peel off all those winter layers that you’ve been forced to wear since October. It’s the time of year when we say goodbye to our winter blues and dark clothes and say a big hello to some summer brights, whites and lack of tights!
But when you live in Ireland, that winter weather lasts for a little bit longer (slight underestimation there) than our more good weather-gifted friends across the world. So, unfortunately we still have to keep those layers on for a few more months. But why not take a leaf out of these two beauties books and keep rocking that fur while we still can?
The great thing about fur in spring is that you don’t necessarily have to wear a million layers underneath. The fur will keep you warm in this mildly-better-than-December weather. So showing off a bit of leg or wearing some show-stoppingly bright colours underneath is a great nod to spring while still being seriously cosy.
If you’re feeling a bit dangerous like Lucy, opt for a warm tangerine colour under that coat. Not only will you be slowly-but-surely easing yourself away from winter dressing but warm oranges, reds and blues are all big for Spring/Summer ’15 and you will be bang-on-trend.
And sure don’t we all just love being the envy of each others eyes?
Check out a couple of ways that UFashion.ie will be rocking fur this spring below.
