This year's sold-out festival runs from 30 August 30 – 1 September.

Hozier has been announced as one of this year's headliners at the Electric Picnic Festival in Stradbally, with The Strokes, Florence + the Machine and The 1975 also headlining.

Wicklow-native Andrew Hozier-Byrne returns to the Laois festival after nabbing the number one spot on the Billboard Album charts earlier this week.

The bill also includes up-and-comer Billie Eilish, Christine and the Queens, Jess Glynne, James Blake and Irish artists Róisín Murphy and Dermot Kennedy.

Four Tet, The Streets and Jarvis Cocker will also be performing as well as a number of acts still yet to be announced.

At the launch of this year's line-up in Dublin on Wednesday morning, Electric Picnic organisers also announced details of Freetown, described as "a whole new town within the festival's mind-blowing creative acreage" which will feature an "8,000 capacity mega-stage for electronica and dance".
