Can it be July yet?

Can it be July yet?

They sold two Croke Park gigs this week and are preparing to release a new album, but what's the real Westlife deal? We caught up with Louis Walsh to find out

So as you know, all our wildest dreams came through when Westlife announced they were getting back together. Earlier this week the tickets for their concert went on sale and you best believe we were up bright and early waiting impatiently for tickets to go on sale. Thankfully, we got our hands on some tickets and roll on July 2019 is all we can say right now.

But there’s one man to thank in all of this, the man that first put the band together; Louis Walsh. We caught up with Louis at the Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year Awards earlier this week to find out what he makes of the reunion.

On What To Expect

“An amazing looking band, they’re looking younger. There’s new songs, old songs, all the hits. It’s going to be big.”

On What Made The Lads Get Back Together

“The boys were like: this is the time. They wanted to do it, they wanted it more than anybody. They’ve been working on it for a year and it’s going to be huge.”

On Why It Didn’t Happen Sooner

“I always knew they were going to get back together but I had to wait for them.”

On The Boyzone VS. Westlife Drama

“Never heard of them. I’d rather see the Nolan sisters than see Boyzone.”

With a new album full of new songs, we really can’t wait. Till then, we’re going to be listening to ‘World Of Our Own’ on repeat.
