If you’re full of good beauty intentions for 2019, investing in some new products can help keep you on track. Well, that’s our excuse anyway!

Unsurprisingly, January is full of new beauty launches. Our picks this week include a face de-stressing serum, a vegan-friendly longwear lippy and a fragrance that’s a sexy alternative to spring florals.

Revitalixir Recovery Serum, €80.95, Murad

Well, our faces are in dire need of this! The latest serum from skincare pro Dr Howard Murad aims to target dehydrated, stressed-out skin. It’s got neuropeptide to soften, niacinamide to refine and caffeine to de-puff. The oil-based spheres encased in the water-based gel mean the formulation can contain more active ingredients - yes please!

Extra Lip Tint Collection, €32.50, Bobbi Brown

If you’re keeping it low key for the new year, you’ll be happy to hear Bobbi Brown’s Extra Lip Tint now comes in six shades. Each one gives lips a glossy sheen, a dose of hydration (thanks to a blend of olive, avocado and jojoba oils) and the sheerest hint of colour. The new hues are Bare Nude, Bare Raspberry and Bare Blackberry.

Tan Corrector & Eraser, €14.36, Fake Bake

Anyone who’s a fan of self tanning needs a problem fixer on standby. The Fake Bake tanning brand has been around for years, so we’re excited to hear it’s launching a Tan Corrector & Earser this week. The formulation contains an aloe vera extract and turns into a rich mousse on skin. Leave it on for two to three minutes to correct mistakes, or for five to six minutes to remove tan.

Barepro Longwear Lipstick, €33, Bare Minerals

We’re big fans of Bare Minerals. The range has some really good products, and the upcoming barePro lipstick line looks gorgeous. The clean, gel formula is vegan friendly and offers up to 8 hour long wear. It’s also launching with 20 soft matte shades, so plenty of colour choice too!

Bronze Wood & Leather Cologne Intense, from €90, Jo Malone

If you’re looking for a new scent to rock in 2019, but delicate florals aren’t really your thing, meet the latest from Jo Malone. Warm and woody, it’s got leather notes along with vetiver and zingy grapefruit. It’s part of the Cologne Intense range, meaning a little goes a long way too.
