The one trend that was seen on nearly every runway for spring/summer. Embrace that 70’s look!
From flared pant suits to fringing on everything from skirts to handbags to t-shirts, the 70’s trend was hard to avoid on the spring/summer ’15 catwalks. Since it’s been named as one of Vogue.com’s favorite trends for this season as well, we’re hoping on this 70’s bound bandwagon too.
Yes, sometimes its hard to find that balance between looking 70’s chic and looking a bit like Disco Stu but when that balance is found, you’ll be delighted you took the risk!
So 70’s style? What exactly does that entail? Think boho prints, forals, wide-legged pants, fringing, lace and jumpsuits. UFashion.ie also recommend topping off the look with perfectly blown-out Farrah Faucet-esque hair.
So whether your planning on going down the Tom Ford route and darkening the 70’s look with black pant suits or whether Anna Sui’s perfectly girly flower-power dresses is your thing, make sure you inject some 70’s into your wardrobe this season.
The playful feel of the clothes from this era will make getting dressed in the morning fun too. And if you know your work day is going to be particularly boring, why not dress like your going to Woodstock to brighten up your day?
Here in UFashion.ie, we have a few pieces that may tickle your fancy if you plan on embracing that 70’s style this season. Check out some of our favourite pieces below!
