Another week, another list of beauty newness to lust after. All our basics are covered this week and if you're feeling like putting some good into the world, there are some limited edition treats that give back in a big way.

From a stay-put brow hero and one-for-everyone hair mask range to a lipstick and multi-use balm with great intentions, this is what we're currently after.

Tattoo Brow Waterproof Gel, 16.50, Maybelline

We’re always up for trying a new brow product and this latest one from Maybelline is a good prospect. It’s got a smudge proof, waterproof formulation and comes in 10 shades, from Light Blonde to Black. Fill lashes in using the soft, fuzzy applicator, then blend out with the accompanying spoolie.

Magic Essence Drops, 13.89, L’Oreal Paris

Well this is intriguing - and yes it’s as blue as it looks! The new prepping drops from L’Oreal is indeed blue hued but it doesn’t make you look like a Smurf. Instead it has a brightening effect on skin, There’s skincare benefits too, with açaí and goji extracts along with kiwi water and that hero of hydrated skin, hyaluronic acid. It feels great on the skin as well, not at all greasy. 

Shea Butter Solidarity Balm, 6, L’Occitane

A multi-purpose balm is one of our beauty essentials and this limited edition one from L’Occitane is a beauty. It does good work too, with profits going to the L’Occitane Foundation’s support of women’s leadership in Burkina Faso, Africa The citrussy scent has notes of orange, jasmine and vanilla and you can use this shea butter balm on  lips, skin and hair.

Hair Food, 8.95, Garnier

When your hair is less than happy with itself, a good, nourishing mask can really help. Garnier’s Hair Food rand has just landed on these shores. There’s Papaya & Amla for damaged hair, Aloe Vera & Coconut for normal hair, Coconut & Macadamia for curly hair and this one, Banana & Shea for dry hair. The formulas are vegan, 98 per cent natural in origin and the brand has taken steps to make all the ingredient info clear and easy to understand. Nice work, Garnier!

March On Beautiful Color Lipstick In Pink Punch, €26, Elizabeth Arden

Actress Reese Witherspoon has put her signature on this limited edition March On Pink lipstick from Elizabeth Arden in honour of International Women’s Day 2019. It's a bright, cheeky pink shade this year and one hundred per cent of the profits from sales will go to UN Women.
