This newly refurbished hostel in Lisbon topped the vote for best places to stay if you’re travelling on your own. A great location, cool staff and a variety of room types make it a good option. Oh, and apparently the F in the name stands for many things including finding, friendly, foreign and fun-loving. If you were wondering.

Best Hostel in Europe: The Roadhouse Prague, Czech Republic

The overall winner for Best In Europe, The Roadhouse picked up a bundle of awards – including Best for Solo Travellers. And all this after being open for just over a year. Not bad! It’s got big social areas, so plenty of opportunity to meet fellow travellers and staff are always organising activities in the city.

Best If You’re Dodging Adulting For A While: Home Lisbon Hostel, Portugal

You might want to run away from grown up life – so why not hit up a spot with homemade dinners every night, made by the owner’s mammy? This Lisbon spot also got a big shout out for its brilliant location and cool design.
