We didn’t know what a spiraliser was until Melissa Hemsley and her sister Jasmine told us we needed one. And now Melissa has gone out on her own with a gorgeous new booked called Eat Happy. So of course we had to share her recipe for Little Chocolate Pots.
Following on from our Adulting How To - The Food Edition, we're continuing our quest to reach peak grown up. And quickly realised that we need some help. Now that we have the basics covered, we wanted to widen our repertoire to slightly more adventurous and impressive terrain. Cue the cooking workshops. We'll be a whiz in the kitchen after these one day wonders...well, here's hoping anyway!
It’s possible our favourite day of the year and, in honour of Pancake Tuesday, we are ALL about the pancakes today (even though we know we can also have them any other day if we want!). Here’s a gorgeous pancake recipe from Pip & Nut you can try for this nom-tastic occasion…
So yes, we make fun of our parents every time they need help on the computer. Then furtively ask Siri how to boil an egg. If this is you too, bookmark this page and stick it to Siri. We swear there's a certain smugness to that electronic tone anyway.
The new way to do lunch
Goodbye sandwich, hello selection. Spring is here (kinda anyway) and the odd sunny lunchtime means we’re all dying to get out of the office for a sneaky glimpse of the sunshine before it’s gone again. Now that things are looking a bit more cheery outside what better way to celebrate then to say goodbye to eating, yet another, uninspiring sandwich at your desk and head to your nearest lunchtime market to see what’s on offer. The traditional Sunday Farmer’s Market has become so popular recently, that lots of places now hold mid-week fairs as well. Whether you’re looking for something tasty to get you through the afternoon slump, or maybe even an appetising dinner for this evening, we have our pick of the best lunchtime markets from around the country to share with you. Enjoy!
The event of the year for foodies is taking place next week
Her last cookbook changed the way we eat, and with her new book Deliciously Ella Every Day she’s here to ensure we embrace healthy eating. We caught up with Ella Woodward during a recent visit to Dublin to pick her brains and find out if she ever falls off the healthy wagon.
And they all sound so freakin’ good!

Out 25 February Natural Born Feeder Roz Purcell What can we say about this book, except we have our copy on pre-order! They say the proof is in the pudding and one look at Roz confirms there must be some truth in her way of eating. Her blog has long been on our internet favourite list, while her almond, orange and cranberry raw chocolate bars have gotten us over the healthy January hump. This woman knows her shit. Out 24 February The Farmette Cookbook Imen McDonnell Imen McDonnell is an American TV producer who fell in love with an Irish farmer and now lives in Limerick. Out April The Little Green Spoon Indy Power We love her blog, and can't wait until autumn when Indy will release her first cookbook. Still sticking to January's healthy resolutions? You go girl! Starting off a healthy eating regime is one thing but sticking to it, is another thing entirely! If you work in an office that's anything like it is here in U, you'll have a bunch of women talking courgette, avocado toast and hot water and lemon in the mornings. Having that motivation and encouragement around you is all well and good during the day, but what happens after work? After working a solid nine hour day, followed by an hour commute home and you're absolutely starvin' marvin'. It can be easy to fall off the bandwagon at this pointy and succumb to the convenience of a takeaway or popping a cheese toasty under the grill. But if you aren't quite ready to fall off this aforementioned bandwagon, we have three super quick, easy and delicious meals to make for your dinner tonight - that won't lead to food guilt the next morning.
Where do we sign?! Model-turned-chef Samuel Homan charms the pants off us…
