Heels at the ready...

Getting ready for a night out is hectic enough without having to worry about compiling the perfect playlist to get your squad in the mood to part-ay. We mean sure, we all have that song that is our ultimate go to while we're painting our faces and sipping on prosecco but there are only so many times one can listen to Crazy in Love by Beyoncé on repeat.

But we're here to save the day and ultimately give you more time to try on 8 other outfits even though we all know you're going to go with the first outfit you tried on because we have compiled the ultimate night out playlist.

How can you trust it's the best? Well, we reached out to a whole bunch of amazing Irish women in the music industry and beyond to hear their ultimate party-starters.

Listen below:

Why those songs? Well:

"I usually listen to a lot of EDM, House, Hip Hop, R&B and Pop. But my night-out playlist has everything from Fleetwood Mac to Drake, Dua Lipa and Shania Twain... need something upbeat to dance or sing to (with a glass of prosecco)! The last night my roommates and I were getting ready we listened to Mika 'Big Girls You Are Beautiful' (2007) and it was like a scene from Girls Trip!" - Olivia O'Callaghan, PA/Producer with Steven Van Zandt.

"Klingande's Jubel to me is the perfect song to get you in the mood to head out! I love the mix of saxophone and vocals!" - Nicola Halloran of the food blog The Wonky Spatula.

"I’d have to say Fergalicious! I still know all the rap and feel like a right diva when I hear it." - Rachael O'Shea, radio presenter on WLRfm. (Her fellow WLRfm presenters Sinead and Jodi picked Touch Me (Rui Da Silva) and Get The Party Started (Pink) respectively.)

"I work in the music industry so my answer to this changes like the wind. ’Drive’ by Black Coffee & David Guetta featuring Delilah Montagu is a track I am loving at the moment. It’s a banger and it has the perfect beat to get me revved up for a night out. That being said, I am a fan of a good '90s tune too."Corrina Kavanagh, Audience Development Manager, Columbia Records UK.

"My fav song at the moment is Wild Youth's Cant Move On. Anything by Madonna is great to get you in the mood. Feel good tunes with great lyrics always a good start to any night out." - Joanne Rochford, Managing Director of Invoke PR.

"I am a Maniac 2000 kinda lass!" - Maria Walsh, broadcaster & former Rose of Tralee.

[ed note: Maniac 2000 is unavailable to stream on Spotify - Mark McCabe, where u at?]

"My song would be Timber by Pitbull it was used in Dancing With The Stars series one and two, and always with an amazing routines (by Aoibhinn Garrihy & Alannah Beirne). Such a fun high energy song that always got the crowd on their feet!" - Suzy Griffin, Social Media Coordinator at RTE.

"Basically anything produced by The Neptunes is alright with me! Their remix of Destiny’s Child’s Emotions, Britney’s Boys or Diddy’s D.I.D.D.Y. But if I had to give that ‘go-to song’ it’s got to be Basement Jaxx Good Luck. Hard to believe I’ve been listening to it most weeks for 15 years." - Grainne Glenny, Owner Boola Public Relations.

"Life Itself - Glass Animals. I always have music on, no matter what I'm doing. This song always gives me a burst of energy and is my go-to when I'm getting dressed to head out. Love it!" - Jess Kelly, Tech Correspondent at Newstalk.

"I'm gonna say Chic 'Freak Out' because why wouldn't want to channel Studio 54 when you are getting ready to go out!" - Eimear O'Mahony, Producer at RTE Entertainment.

"My favourite song is Vogue by Madonna - it’s always been my go to. I love playing it before I head out and dancing around my apartment to it! It’s the best." - Tia Duffy, model.

"One that springs to mind is ABBA's Dancing Queen. It's the ultimate feel good song and it's guaranteed to get everyone singing along." - Aine Mc Manus, Digital Content Producer at Virgin Media One

"Let's Have a Kiki by the Scissor Sisters. It makes me channel my inner Ru Paul every time!" - Claire Buckley, Managing Director of Buck and Hound PR.

"It’s the million dollar question but I’m gonna have to go for Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. It’s GUARANTEED to get me in a good mood ready for the weekend!" - Mary Gamble, Director of Barnardos Ireland.

"The song that I'd 100% choose as my ultimate getting ready song is Sia's Cheap Thrills - the lyrics are literally about doing your hair and make-up - what more motivation do you need when getting ready! I love what it's about though - it doesn't matter if you’re going to a dive bar or the fanciest place ever, as long as you have the right people and good music around you, that's all you need for a great night. Plus anything with Sean Paul is a win in my book!" - Audrey Donohue, Researcher on The Eoghan McDermott Show, RTE 2FM.

"Dance Yrself Clean by LCD Soundsystem. Played nice and loud reminds me of my carefree college years, cracking open cans and not knowing where the night would take us. The song of freedom!" - Roisin Flanagan, freelance writer.

"Hypnotize by Solomun right now purely because it reminds me of the spontaneous trip to Ibiza I took a few weeks back!" - Siobhan O'Hagan, personal trainer and fitness blogger.

"Anything by Robyn, but probably Call Your Girlfriend or Dancing On My Own come out on top. I literally never get sick of them whether I need a pick-me-up in the gym or a banger to sing along to on a long car journey." - Justine King, stylist.

"Alanis Morissette's You Oughta Know springs to mind, for my angst-ridden teen days, but it was also a great one to belt out when in the car. Anything by No Doubt otherwise, I am Gwen Stefani super-fan." - Rebecca Horan, radio presenter at Radio Nova/Senior Consultant at Notorious PR.

"I'm a Dolly girl - Jolene is my all time jam! Dolly's voice is perfection and 44 years since its release the lyrics are infinitely relatable... I challenge you to find anyone in the pub not singing along trying to hit the Joleeeeen high note." - Irene O'Brien, stylist.
