Our favourite Geordie is back on our screens and looking better than ever!
She’s baaaack! Cheryl Cole has hit the red carpet for the first round of X Factor auditions, and we’ve never seen her looking so HOT! Flashing her amazing smile she posed for photographers in Manchester, looking angelic in an all white outfit. We reckon she won the war of the mini skirts too, with fellow judge Mel B going for the opposite look – all black. We wonder if their choice of outfit will suit their good judge/bad judge personas when the show airs?? We immediately wanted to know everything about Cheryl’s new look to know what we’ll be copying. Now… Just to find electric blue strappy stiletto sandals…
She’s turned to the bright side! Hair can sometimes reflect how you’re feeling, and Cheryl’s X Factor return and hot new man combined mean one thing: blonde! We asked top Dublin hairdresser Amanda Darcy from Sugar Cubed what Cheryl did to get the look and most importantly, how much it will cost us to copy it!
“She’s gone for a bit of depth at the root, a really cool brown tone and then had ‘s’ombre’, or soft balayage, applied by hand, with the stylist working very visually to get as natural a colour as possible. She would definitely have used some bleach but also put a toner on to take down the brassiness. The cut is extremely natural and she just has a clean base with some gradual layers that were softened up once the hair was dried. She’s obviously been looking after her hair, and it’s looking amazing at the moment, so she stayed away from the hair extensions to show off what’s she’s got naturally. For the cut and colour altogether, it’d set you back around e194 and then e10 added on for the toner.” We’re liking the au naturel approach Cheryl!
Arriving in Manchester for the first auditions of this year’s X Factor, Chezza’s make-up was subtle, toned down and really natural. Her make-up artist Lisa Laudat obviously decided Cheryl’s natural beauty was enough for cameras, and just did enough so that the photographer’s flashes wouldn’t wash her out. She has said about creating Cheryl’s look: “Cheryl takes her position on the show very seriously. If any of us were in that position we would want to feel the part too. Cheryl’s very thoughtful about how she looks. She has strong ideas about what she wants.” We’ve got to say, the pared back look works a treat on the gorgeous judge – her features are so big that it doesn’t take much to make her look stunning.
She’s made no secret of the fact that she’s a gym lover, and works out using celeb trainer Tracy Anderson’s method. Cheryl told a magazine: “I do the Tracy Anderson method. I’ve been doing it for a long time now. It’s not easy but if you push yourself through… I love it. A lot of people hate going to the gym or can’t think of anything worse but I get up in the morning and I like it.” With all the dancing she does in those videos of hers, we’re surprised she goes to the gym at all – we’d be shattered! The choreography in her new single Crazy Stupid Love is enough to tucker us out, but Cheryl obviously loves feeling fit and healthy.
Cheryl has been making serious fashion waves lately with some of her choices. Those Giuseppi Zanotti shoes, her numerous outings in YSL… She’s come a long way from her early days with Girls Aloud. Her white, sheer-paneled top and matching white textured skirt were paired with a strappy pair of blue metallic heels making her toned legs the focal point of the look. She finished it off with Stephen Webster jewellery and didn’t carry a bag – probably to make selfie-taking with waiting fans a little handier!
